After eleven centuries of boring sluice history, a Dutch designer invented an advanturous and innovative concept of a sea-lock. On this page you'll find all facts about my Unlocking Amsterdam project.

In a flash called "Eureka" the new sea-lock saw the light, and in a few months of research and design she was ready to be patented. Actually the concept is very simple: this sea-lock functions like a semi-permeable membrane through which ships can pass but water cannot.

You'll see all details of "Locky Sirens" - as I named my invention - in these five video-animations and in the  English, Dutch and German brochure.

TNO Delft, the famous Dutch research institute suggested Locky Sirens might be a breakthrough in the maritime world. Rolls Royce - very active in maritime innovations - test 'mooring ships' without ropes, but with huge magnets and suction cups! The maritime world is sparking from innovations.
